We are the Workington Wasp's Basketball Club Started in 1991 The basketball club has had its ups and downs with either a little or alot of interest. The club has only recently took off getting amounts of up to 30 people from ages ranging from 15's to 40's.
We currently have a under 18's Team and a Mens team who are hardworking , friendly and are competative and like to win but also like to have fun!. We have only had a few friendly matches as of late, as Basketball in the Cumbrian area is bleak , we are always looking for new teams and prospects for the future so if you have a team click the contacts link above and get in touch we would like to hear from you.
We like to play at home or away but can somtimes struggle to make matches away, although we have played a newcastle team which has been our largest trek yet who we got beat by (Cheers Peanut!).
